Trader Joe's, Why NOT 'Do Better' for Your Customers?

  1. How about TJ's add cereals without added sugar or baked goods without the modified substances? Or wheat free options that are made from real grain ingredients?

  2. Krista,
You're absolutely right! Trader’s sells a wide variety of healthier fair to include some prepackaged and ready-made foods; especially when compared to the 'average' grocery store. I for one am a loyal Trader's shopper for this very reason.

I also love that you mentioned ‘baked goods without the modified substances’. It’s a hint that you’re probably familiar with the associated health risks of GMOs; genetically modified organisms upon consumption. If so, we share a health conscious attitude on not only the presence of GMOs in our foods- but likely the consumption of potential toxins in general.

That said I agree that Trader’s offers a bounty of wholesome & toxic free foods. However, I remain concerned about the potential health risks associated with foods NOT made with 100% organic & GMO free ingredients. Whether a food contains GMOs, pesticides or drugs (antibiotics/hormones), potential toxins are detrimental to every ones health, no matter what role they play in our food.
